Kreuz Subsea, has appointed Knut Eriksen as the board’s first independent non-executive director. Eriksen brings more than 35 years of industry experience to the role, including president of engineering at Aker Maritime and senior V.P. at Oceaneering International and NATCO Group. Additionally, he has held the position of V.P. – worldwide deepwater development at Unocal Corporation.
Chevron Corporation has elected Debra Reed-Klages to the company’s board of directors, effective immediately. In addition, Navin Mahajan has been named V.P. and treasurer, effective Feb. 1, 2019. Mahajan succeeds Randy Richards, who is retiring from the company after 40 years of service. Mahajan is currently V.P. finance downstream & chemicals. The company also appointed Dale Walsh to V.P. of corporate affairs, effective March 1, 2019. Walsh succeeds Joe Naylor, who is retiring after 36 years of service.
Wood has appointed Joe Sczurko as executive president for strategy & development. Sczurko brings more than three decades of diverse industry experience to the position. Prior to this, he held the position of president, strategy and development, for the company’s environment & infrastructure services. In addition, Sczurko served in operational and business development roles at Amec Foster Wheeler, for most of his career. Sczurko is also a registered professional engineer, and past president of ACEC-Maine.
Karl Thorngren has been named CFO at Maersk Supply Service, affective April 29, 2019. Currently CFO of Svitzer Australia, Thorngren brings 15 years of corporate finance experience to the role, and has worked within the maritime industry since 2010.
Mark Lomas joins Aqualis Offshore as director of European operations. Prior to this, Lomas held the role of director of shipping at London Offshore Consultants Limited (LOC) UK, and spent 15 years in the Middle East with LOC as the director of Middle East and India. In addition, most of his career was spent with P&O working with various vessels.
EnerMech has formed the group’s board of directors, with the appointment of John Kennedy as the group’s chairman, Joost Dröge and Bob Maguire, both managing directors and partners at Carlyle International Energy Partners (CIEP), and Philippe Boisseau joining the board as non-executive directors. Spanning a 40-year career in oilfield services, Kennedy has held senior executive positions with Brown & Root, Halliburton and rig manufacturer, Lamprell.
Walter Thain has been appointed CEO of THREE60 Energy Group. He brings over 30 years of experience to the role, including leadership positions with Petrofac, where he held key roles in the UK and UAE, most recently as managing director, west for engineering & production services.
Xodus Group has named Phil Cooper as its corporate development director. He brings 35 years of engineering experience to the role, and was most recently London general manager at Heerema Marine Contractors. In addition, the company has named Gareth Jones as decom lead, responsible for the advisement of environmental and societal impacts associated with decommissioning, based in Aberdeen. Prior to this, Jones served as leader of international decommissioning at BMT Cordah.
Mats Ekstrøm has joined C-Kore Systems as sales manager - Scandinavia. He has over 30 years of industry experience, including roles at Sutec and Dolphin AS. Over the past 20 years, Ekstrøm held roles with progressive responsibilities, including managing director at MacArthur Norge.
With the opening of offices in China and the Middle East, Paradigm Group has appointed new leadership to the regions. Fan ChunSheng has been appointed leader of the Paradigm Group’s China operations, based in Dongying City. Fan has extensive experience in the company’s well intervention product lines, and will represent the company’s drilling, technology and intervention technologies services. In addition, the new Middle Eastern office will be based in Dubai and is being led by Tariq Mohiuddin, regional manager. Mohiuddin is a veteran in the region and has held roles in sales and business development.
James Bement has been appointed CEO of Hydraulic Systems, Inc. He comes to the company from Forum Energy Technologies where he served as senior V.P. of drilling. In addition, he brings more than 30 years of experience with Halliburton to the role. He will succeed Charles Maurice, who has served as CEO since 2011. Maurice will remain chairman of the board.
Daniel Mackay and Erica McPherson have taken up the newly-created roles of managing director at NRG Well Management and NRG Group commercial director, respectively. Prior to this, Mackay served as senior drilling engineer for various operators, and within the company. McPherson has been with the company for more than 10 years, and held roles with increasing responsibilities. Andrew Mackay, father of Daniel and Erica and founder of the company, will remain chairman and majority shareholder.
Aubin has elevated CFO Katy Gifford to CEO, and transitioned former CEO Paddy Collins to CTO. Gifford has been with the company for four years, and brings a seasoned career to the role. Collins, who has been CEO for 13 years, remains Aubin’s major shareholder.
IMCA has named Andre Rose as technical adviser - competence & training, remote systems and ROV. Rose has spent the majority of his career in the ROV industry and the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm.
DownUnder GeoSolutions (DUG) has appointed Michael (Mick) Lambert as manager for the new DUG McCloud services business. A veteran of the seismic industry, Lambert spent the last eight years with Wireless Seismic Inc., most recently as the company’s president and CEO. In addition, he spent 16 years with GX Technology, serving as president and CEO from 1997 until 2004, and then as president until 2006, after the company was acquired by Input/Output (now Ion).
DeltaTek Global has appointed Chris Johnstone as operations supervisor. In this role, he will manage offshore wellsite operations, assist in the design and development of new technologies and implement an equipment maintenance system. Prior to his appointment, Johnstone was a wellsite drilling engineer / performance coach at EnQuest.
Airswift has appointed David Gibb as client service manager. Gibb’s extensive knowledge of the Aberdeen market is complemented by over ten years of industry recruitment experience. Phil Hoyle, the company’s client service manager for Aberdeen, will continue to support local projects.
Jerome Jacquemont has joined Neptune Energy as managing director, Algeria, based in Algiers. Jacquemont is currently general manager, Groupement TouatGaz, and brings more than 25 years of experience to the role, including stints at Total, Sofregaz and Gaz de France.
