Houston Ducks Unlimited to host inaugural legacy gala
Houston -- The Houston Ducks Unlimited (DU) chapter will host its inaugural Legacy Gala, Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the River Oaks Country Club in Houston to honor Bruce Culpepper and Shell Oil Company. The event will also help raise funds for the organization’s wetlands and waterfowl conservation mission.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m., and activities will include a live and silent auction, raffles, exclusive trips, artwork and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind Ducks Unlimited merchandise and interact with other outdoor enthusiasts.
Legacy Gala tickets are available for purchase until Oct. 23. Individual tickets are available, as well as a variety of eight-person table packages. Culpepper is a true outdoorsman and has a lifelong passion for conserving and preserving wetland habitats. Beyond his work with Shell, he instilled this love for nature in his daughter, and long-time Ducks Unlimited Volunteer, Ashley Grant, and his son, Addison Culpepper. “Some of my favorite family memories revolve around spending time hunting, fishing, and hiking with my dad. He instilled his love for nature in my brother, Addison, and me and today we are both very active in conservation efforts. This is his legacy,” says Grant.
