HOUSTON -- Shale Support Holdings, LLC, a leading provider of frac-sands and logistical solutions to the oil and gas proppant market, has announced it has finalized a deal as a provider for a tier-one petroleum and natural gas exploration and production company. Shale Support will supply the tier-one E&P with high quality frac sand from its Picayune, Miss. mine to the Eagle Ford Shale.

“We are thrilled to enter into this strategic partnership with an industry-leading E&P,” says Lee Hullman, V.P. of business development. “The fact that Shale Support owns both the mine and destination terminal positioned our organization to be an ideal strategic partner for our customer, allowing us to provide reliability and flexibility throughout the entire mining and transportation process, which is key to ensuring successful operations.”

Shale Support will deliver its best-in-class proppant to its Southton Rail Yard facility. Located south of San Antonio, in the heart of the Eagle Ford, Southton Rail Yard was built in 2013 as one of the first Purpose-Built Transload facilities in the country and is designed to handle large volumes of bulk material. In August 2018, Shale Support announced the completion of four new silos at the rail yard, with each new silo holding roughly 5,000 tons of bulk materials.
