HOUSTON -- OspreyData, leader in AI-based production optimization solutions for oil & gas, announced that Kenneth Collins has joined as V.P. of product optimization & services. Collins is a seasoned oil & gas executive who brings 25 years of experience in all areas of production, specializing in optimization.

"OspreyData is honored to have Ken Collins lead our services initiatives focused on production optimization and leveraging our artificial intelligence-enabled production optimization platform used by oil & gas producers to lower lease operating expense and enhance production," stated Ed Cowsar, CEO. "Ken is a thought leader in the industry and known for streamlining operations and implementing the most effective best practices to produce oil and gas efficiently. His leadership and background are valuable and timely to OspreyData clients who really need to grow and maintain profitability right now."

Most recently Collins was a leader at EP Energy, responsible for the central completions engineering group and various operations across multiple shale plays, including the Eagle Ford Shale. His prolific career in oil & gas began 25 years ago at Dowell Schlumberger in his first role as field supervisor & engineer, and has grown to include roles as completions technical advisor, completions manager, production manager and many additional roles as engineer. He also worked at Conoco and Burlington Resources in San Juan Basin and Permian. Ken brings vast knowledge and hands-on experience in production, engineering and management, and emphasizes economics, design, safety and continuous personnel development in his practice. His expertise thoroughly aligns with OspreyData's mission.

At OspreyData, he leads initiatives with oil and gas companies implementing their AI-based platform. His projects help innovative producers in the U.S. and abroad integrate technology with facilities and business processes to identify problems before they happen in production operations and artificial lift. He helps producers plan to lower well downtime and lease operating expenses and increase production across fields and plays.

"I see tremendous value in implementing predictive solutions for production optimization," said Collins, who is originally from Louisiana, worked and lived in New Mexico for several years and now hails from Houston. "The time is right for oil and gas professionals to embrace technology in production like OspreyData's talented team is enabling. I am already adding my experience and knowledge to optimize production operations for all types of operators."
