(WO) — Energy Workforce and Technology Council CEO Leslie Beyer was presented with the Vicki Hollub Leadership in Industry award on Nov. 30 by the Federation of Houston Professional Women at their 2022 Executive Conference held in Houston, Texas.
"I’m honored to be recognized by this outstanding organization that works every day to enrich the relationships of women from diverse industries to expand leadership, partnership and educational opportunities,” Beyer said. “This award also honors an esteemed leader in the industry, Vicki Hollub of OXY. She truly embodies leadership in our industry, and I feel privileged to be recognized in this same frame.”
Beyer was presented the award following her keynote presentation on Equity in Energy and how the energy services and technology sector is essential to ensuring access to essential energy. The Executive Conference focused on Innovation, Environment and Energy. In Beyer’s address, she discussed equity in energy centered around three supporting themes, national security, sustainability and energy poverty.
U.S. energy is essential to lifting populations around the world out of energy and economic poverty by providing access to affordable, reliable energy at home and abroad, according to Beyer.
She noted that the energy services industry is becoming more diverse and leading the way in developing innovative technologies for a more sustainable future of energy, strengthening our national security, and allowing for continued access to cost efficient energy resources.
