Sinopec awards Sercel contract for wireless land nodal acquisition systems in China
(WO) — Sercel, a subsurface exploration solutions designer and manufacturer, completed a major sale of its WiNG nodal acquisition solution into the Chinese oil and natural gas market. The contract was awarded by Sinopec, a long-standing key customer, and includes four wireless land nodal acquisition systems for a total of 35,000 field units.
The equipment is being deployed on a first production survey in the East of China.
As a wireless and compact solution, WiNG is specially designed for efficient operations in difficult-to-access environments. With its field-proven Pathfinder transmission management technology, operators can view the entire acquisition spread in real time to ensure the most comprehensive and efficient quality control.
Unlike systems based on blind nodes, WiNG with Pathfinder technology provides peace of mind for operations and also significantly reduces personnel and field verification time.
Emmanuelle Dubu, Sercel CEO, said, “We are particularly proud to see the increased commercial success of our innovative WiNG nodal solution, especially for use in complex terrains such as mountains, marsh and forests. This further demonstrates Sercel’s ability to provide cutting-edge equipment and solutions that meet the toughest requirements.”
