STRYDE secures multi-million-dollar exploration contracts to support European energy security
(WO) – STRYDE is celebrating a string of new European contracts to provide onshore seismic nodes and help enhance energy security across the region.
Leading the new deals is the purchase of 25,000 STRYDE Nodes™ by first-time client, Ukrainian seismic acquisition firm, Georozvidka LLC. The technology will be used for multiple 2D and 3D seismic surveys in Ukraine, supporting national and global energy security through the enablement of new oil and gas exploration projects.
STRYDE’s miniature nodes are designed to provide affordable high-quality, dense seismic data with minimal environmental disruption, reduced HSE risk, and smaller crews. This is the latest contract where STRYDE is being used to acquire seismic data in Ukraine as oil and gas exploration activity in the country increases.
This news follows STRYDE's latest announcement of a contract with DTEK Oil&Gas, where its agile nodes were purchased to enable exploration and development of deep and ultradeep targets with a focus on combined and non-structural traps.
Mike Popham, CEO at STRYDE said, “Global energy demand continues to be a pressure point for governments and industries alike. The sector must ensure that investments in the oil industry continue to flow despite an evolving landscape that incorporates new and critical green energies.
“With many of the large-scale fields in Europe already emptied or close to depletion, the key to future energy growth is innovative technologies that can rapidly, and cost-effectively identify new hydrocarbon and renewable energy opportunities.
“STRYDE Nodes™, which have a proven track record, are fast becoming the go-to tech partner for seismic surveys, and we’re thrilled to continue helping our customers acquire the seismic data they need.”
Stepan Kozytskyy, CEO at Georozvidka added: “STRYDE’s reputation within the industry precedes itself, so when it came to looking for a technology to record the seismic data, there was no hesitation in selecting their Nimble nodal system™.
“Testament to this, STRYDE offered a quick delivery of the high node inventory we required, as well as a specialist field support team who provided first-class training for our crews from STRYDE’s facility in Asker, Norway.”
In addition to the multimillion-dollar contract with Georozvidka LLC, STRYDE has also been re-appointed by Polish geophysical survey company, Geopartner Geofizyka, to supply an
additional 12,000 STRYDE Nodes™ to boost their current node inventory and support a new upcoming seismic survey in the outskirts of Krakow.
Amie Foster, Head of Business Development in Europe at STRYDE explained, “Our equipment has offered high-resolution seismic data at a significantly reduced cost, enabling Geopartner Geofizyka to experience unrivaled operational efficiencies in the field since 2022.
“This, coupled with our field support services geared to supporting our customers and training acquisition teams has made for a very high project success rate. Survey operations and access to data are reported as being much quicker than they have ever been able to achieve before, resulting in effective decision-making for new fields of E&P and geothermal reservoirs.”
Alongside the recent oil and gas exploration success STRYDE is having in Ukraine and Poland, the company has also been newly contracted to deliver systems for civil engineering and geothermal surveys in Germany, the Netherlands, and Hungary.
