Vår Energi selects DeepOcean for five-year subsea IMR services on NCS

December 17, 2025

(WO) - Subsea services provider DeepOcean has been awarded a new long-term inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) frame agreement by Vår Energi covering the operator’s assets on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The five-year contract runs through October 2030 and includes options to extend for up to an additional four years. Under the agreement, DeepOcean will deliver IMR services across all Vår Energi–operated fields, along with project support for offshore modifications, installation, commissioning and drilling activities.

The scope also includes associated engineering and project management services. The partnership will incorporate new technologies and ways of working, including the use of uncrewed remote vessels and onshore remote operations centers to support subsea activities.

DeepOcean and Vår Energi have collaborated on subsea operations for more than a decade. The new frame agreement formalizes the continuation of that relationship as Vår Energi expands its offshore portfolio on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
