Hydra's fully-classed DP2 saturation diving vessel charter ready
HOUSTON -- Offshore and subsea construction company Hydra announces their fully classed DP2 saturation diving vessel, the Subsea Responder, is available for immediate charter.
Director of Projects, Trevor Davis, explained the Subsea Responder was converted to a saturation diving vessel earlier in 2018 after acquisition of the SAT-14 saturation diving system. Now configured for saturation diving projects, the vessel is one of only three active DP2 SAT vessels operating in Gulf of Mexico.
“We’re entering the saturation diving market with a powerful diving support vessel,” explained Davis. “The Subsea Responder outperforms four-point SAT vessels in every way. There’s no comparison.”
The DP2 vessel boasts ample deck space, 60-ton active heave compensated crane and accommodations for 57. In addition, all systems are a go. It has just completed her five-year reactivation survey, USCG five-year COI, FMEA, sea trials, ABS special survey, ABS load test, and the SAT system has been pressure tested and USCG approved.
Overseeing projects for the vessel is a seasoned team, including Director of Projects Trevor Davis, Senior Project Manager and Business Development Phil McNabb, Saturation Diving Subject Matter Expert Charles Zamora, SAT Superintendent Frank Allbright and Vessel Master Lt Commander Marc Muldoon (Navy Reservist).
