ABERDEEN -- ProSep, an industry-leading, technology and service provider for integrated process solutions to the global energy industry, has successfully secured a contract with Aker Solutions to provide two MAX+ ProSalt mixers to Equinor’s Heimdal Gas Centre Platform in the North Sea.

The installation of ProSep’s proprietary mixers will allow production to resume from the Vale gas and condensate field by reducing the amount of salt present during the downstream processing stages. Vale is a satellite installation connected to the Heimdal platform by a 10.25-mi (16.5-km) pipeline.

Jacek Kacperski, ProSep’s European sales manager said, “We are delighted to be working with Aker Solutions on this project for Equinor and for our MAX+ ProSalt mixer to be selected due to its ability to significantly improve the injection and mixing process.

“Salt precipitation can have an adverse effect on gas processing; ProSep’s high-efficiency inline mixers have therefore been cleverly designed to remove salt from the gas condensate by mixing it with injected wash water in two stages. This ensures efficient wash water utilization by reducing injection volumes and improving separation when compared to traditional mixing technologies.”

With a portfolio of proprietary products, ProSep has installed over 100 mixers globally and continues to work with some of the world’s largest oil companies, providing premium mixing and produced water solutions that enhance operations and deliver rapid Return on Investment (ROI).
