Koil Energy Solutions to provide subsea equipment for Shenandoah development offshore Gulf of Mexico
(WO) — Koil Energy Solutions, Inc., an international specialist in subsea energy equipment and services, received an order to provide subsea distribution equipment for the Shenandoah project, a 17,500 psi development in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
The multi-million-dollar project is for the provision of 70+ Multi Quick Connect (MQC) plates. The components are critical pieces of subsea infrastructure that enable the transfer of different fluids between subsea systems. The equipment will be qualified for 20,000 psi applications.
Charles Njuguna, President and CEO of Koil Energy Solutions, Inc. said, “With 20,000 psi applications being the next frontier in deepwater developments, the selection of our equipment is a testament to our team’s commitment to playing a leading role in the advancement of subsea technology.”
According to Njuguna, the award follows Koil Energy Solution’s rebranding strategy, positioning the company to become a full systems provider rather than a components provider.
The project is expected to be substantially complete by the end of 2023.
