STRYDE wins 11 seismic processing contracts for global energy projects

July 26, 2024

(WO) — STRYDE has secured 11 new seismic data processing contracts across various sectors, including geothermal, CCUS, oil and gas, mining, and water exploration, since July 2023.

STRYDE provides conventional and in-field processing services for 2D and 3D seismic surveys for new contracts.

The contracts involve both conventional and in-field processing services for 2D and 3D seismic surveys in countries like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Ukraine, the U.S., Colombia, and Brazil. Notably, STRYDE Lens, the company's advanced in-field processing solution, has been chosen for four of these projects.

One significant client, DTEK Oil&Gas, Ukraine's largest private energy operator, has benefited from STRYDE Lens. Following a recent seismic survey, the data was processed with STRYDE Lens, significantly reducing the processing time by 88% compared to conventional methods.

Amine Ourabah, chief geophysicist at STRYDE, highlighted the benefits of STRYDE Lens:

“The recent surge in STRYDE Lens processing contracts is testament to our ability to deliver rapid, high-quality seismic, enabled by our team of highly skilled land processing geophysicists and our unique ability to transform our state-of-the-art acquisition system into a processing environment that our team can access remotely. This powerful combination enables us to deliver an interpretable seismic image very quickly after survey completion.”

STRYDE’s success in securing these contracts positions it as a strong competitor to major processing firms globally. CEO Mike Popham expressed pride in the company's growth and announced plans to invest in a new Centre for High-Performance Computing (CHPC) at their Asker, Norway facility. The CHPC will enhance STRYDE's ability to handle large volumes of data and support further research and development.

STRYDE’s innovative nodal system has made seismic data acquisition more accessible for new energy markets, and the growing demand for their processing services underscores their role in supporting exploration and development efforts across various sectors.
