Halliburton introduces next-gen LOGIX automation platform for refined drilling performance
(WO) - Halliburton introduced the next generation of its LOGIX automation and remote operations platform, designed to refine drilling performance. LOGIX assists with autonomous drilling, streamlines well delivery, can shorten production timelines, and reduces rig time through intelligent automation.
LOGIX merges downhole data with rig control systems to help create a more efficient and reliable drilling experience. LOGIX, equipped with advanced automation controllers and surface algorithms, has used autonomous technologies to drill more than 12 million feet and achieve an improved rate of penetration (ROP) up to 30%.
“LOGIX is a customizable platform built to address multiple customer needs. From more precise well placement, increased ROP, longer bit runs, and smoother wellbores with better reservoir contact, LOGIX helps improve customer asset value,” said Jim Collins, vice president of Sperry Drilling at Halliburton.
The platform's latest features use advanced machine learning algorithms to adjust drilling parameters, engineered for optimal operation. These improvements boost drilling efficiency, fine tune shoe-to-shoe performance, predict bit wear with more accuracy, reduce non-productive time (NPT), and hasten well delivery for faster, more reliable operations.
LOGIX responds to changes in geological formations with the analysis of data from adjacent wells and updates the drilling plan with live data. This adaptability is designed to maintain optimal performance and prevent disruptions as drilling conditions evolve.
