PERTH, Australia -- Neptune Marine Services Limited (Neptune) has reported that its Subsea Stabilisation division was recently awarded two subcontracts by McDermott Australia for the Ichthys LNG Project. McDermott is the appointed main contractor for the Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (SURF) engineering, procurement, construction and installation portion of the project.

SYDNEY (Bloomberg) -- Drillsearch Energy Ltd., BG Group Plc’s exploration partner in central Australia, will study further acquisitions in the outback region after its proposed purchase of Ambassador Oil & Gas Ltd. The company is looking at opportunities to add oil and gas acreage in the Cooper basin through its “Project Uber,” Brad Lingo, managing director of Sydney-based Drillsearch, said Aug. 27 in a phone interview. Its Ambassador offer in May follows an acquisition of Acer Energy Ltd. in 2012.

SYDNEY, Australia -- In its last quarterly report dated 31 July 2014, Horizon Oil advised that the Stanley-5 well, which spudded on 16 June 2014 using Parker Rig 226, had been drilled to target total depth. Pleasingly the observed quality and size of the objective Toro and Kimu reservoirs were better than had been predicted, with a combined gross sand column of about 120 m and net pay of about 96 m.
