Minimizing Well Construction CO2 Footprint with Transition Technologies
April 21, 2022
Schlumberger
Schlumberger’s Transition Technologies Portfolio addresses sustainability in oil & gas operations and offers quantifiable emissions reductions across the E&P value chain. We’ll explain the origins of the portfolio, why reducing oil & gas emissions is important to Schlumberger and touch on how we quantify the impact each of the technologies within this portfolio can have. Focusing on Transition Technologies that address well construction related emissions, we’ll explore rig equipment and fluid options that enable our customers to reduce their impact both directly at the wellsite and during the manufacturing phase. Finally, we’ll discuss potential avenues from both the technology and process planning standpoints that could offer scope for further reducing impact.
