Cybersecurity at Sea: Protecting Maritime Operations in a Satellite Connected World

September 16, 2026
Sponsored by: Honeywell
The maritime industry relies on modern satellite connectivity to drive efficiency. Fleet management, automated routing, and crew welfare all depend on continuous cloud access. However, this deep digital integration exposes critical vessel systems to sophisticated cyber threats. Cyber criminals increasingly target vulnerabilities in oceanic communication infrastructure, threatening both corporate data and physical ship safety. This webinar explores the unique cybersecurity challenges facing modern vessel operators and offshore facilities. Industry experts will dissect real-world threat vectors targeting marine satellite terminals and onboard networks. Attendees will gain actionable strategies to implement robust network segmentation, secure remote access protocols, and comply with evolving international maritime cybersecurity regulations. Join us to learn how to defend your floating assets and maintain operational resilience against complex digital threats.

Modern Coatings for Oil and Gas Assets: Smarter Specs, Better Performance

August 19, 2026
Sponsored by: Sherwin-Williams
Coating specifications can remain unchanged for years, even as coating technology and application methods improve. In this webinar, Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine explores how newer coating solutions are influencing material selection and maintenance strategies across oil and gas assets, including upstream, midstream, downstream, terminals and offshore environments. The speakers will discuss why legacy specs persist, where outdated requirements can increase risk and total cost of ownership, and how modern technologies can improve safety, durability and long-term performance. Topics include coatings for complex geometry and packaged equipment, remote and drone-enabled work for challenging access areas, improved strategies to reduce corrosion under insulation, and coatings engineered for elevated temperature and in-service conditions. Attendees will leave with practical guidance for evaluating new technologies and updating specifications without adding risk.

Scaling IIoT in Oil & Gas: From Pilot Projects to Production Systems

May 12, 2026
Sponsored by: Tiger Data
A lot of O&G projects succeed in the pilot stage and fail in the rollout. The pilot scope is small: few data sources, short time frames, and simple queries. The rollout is not: more deployments means more tags, longer retention times and more demands on the data. A database that worked at 100 tags/s breaks at 10,000. One reason for the failures is that PoC conditions rarely stress the data infrastructure. Just like the equipment being sent to the field, every database has a performance envelope, and IIoT systems push three dimensions of it simultaneously: -Storage: 10,000 tags at 1Hz generates 315 billion rows per year. Data volume grows multiplicatively with tags, frequency, and retention time. -Ingest rate: Field sensors stream continuously, 24/7. Fall behind once and the backlog rarely recovers before data is lost or the system fails. -Query degradation: Aggregate queries slow linearly as history grows. Milliseconds at PoC become minutes at production scale. This webinar covers how to map your database performance envelope before deployment, keep an eye on it as the data grows, and how TimescaleDB's time-based partitioning, columnar storage, and continuous aggregates expand that envelope without adding infrastructure complexity.
